Ruben Rubio - Co-Owner
Ruben Rubio, co-owner of Rubio Family Wines, is a proud Mexican native whose journey is rooted in resilience, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to family. Born in Michoacán, Ruben came to the United States as a teenager with the goal of supporting his mother and siblings back home after the passing of his father. Through years of hard work across Washington and California, he built a reputation for reliability, determination, and integrity. That dedication eventually led him to establish Rubio’s Vineyard Management—a successful, long-standing business that solidified his place and respected standing in the wine industry. Married to his wife, Sonia, and the father of two children, Cynthia and Ethan, Ruben continues to embody the values of hard work, humility, and devotion.
A naturally social and friendly presence, Ruben is known for uplifting others and being the person people can always count on. His passion for the wine industry grew as he began cultivating his own grapes, deepening his connection to the land and to the craft. Today, he is proud to embark on a new chapter with his daughter, Cynthia, as they build Rubio Family Wines together. Their shared vision represents both their cultural heritage and the dreams yet to be fulfilled. Ruben hopes that the business they are creating side by side becomes a lasting testament to their family’s perseverance, unity, and the belief that with heart and hard work, anything is possible.
